Grab a Coffee
When I started to learn English at junior high, a phrase "a cup of coffee" impressed me and it was like a "gate of using English" since Japanese nouns don't have a count or noncount distinction. But, I hear a lot of people saying "Grab a coffee". This morning I just said "after grabbing a coffee" (yeah, copying phrases is a good way to get adapted, I think) and it made me google "grab a coffee English grammar".
"the spread of coffee-bar culture is promoting the count-noun usage" makes sense for me. Do you grab a coffee or have a cup of tea?
